Mother. Mommy. Mama. Mamacita. Mom.

Whatever you call her, her day's coming up next week. Have you gotten her a gift to show her your appreciation for all you've put her through? (sorry, mom!)

If you haven't, I've got just the thing for you - monogrammed notecards. I know in this technology age, emails are easier, but you know, most moms still send snail mail once in a while.

I have some letters available (a, k, p, for example), which I can ship immediately. If I don't have a letter, I can create it.

If you order by Monday, you should still be able to receive your notecards to give to mom on Sunday. I can ship directly to her too!

Email me today to order. And, if you want it shipped to her, let me know, so I can wrap it up nice & purdy.

You'll make her day and brighten someone else's mailbox!

A Fine Mess - Sneak Peek

custom design open house

Anyone have a magic wand I can borrow?
Come back next week to see what's going on around here.

Happy Earth Day!

Around here, every day is Earth Day. We're fortunate to live in an area of the country that takes saving the Earth every seriously, so it comes easier for us than others. You know, things like recycling everything, using your own bags at the grocery store, carrying a steel water bottle instead of buying plastic, and keeping the heater at 65 (brrr).

As a company, I print the majority of my designs on papers that are either certified Green or have the FSC Seal of Approval. And, I hope to find printers who use alternative inks.

I thought this recent design I did for Teacher Appreciation Week was appropriate for Earth Day. Aren't the kiddies cute? Stay tuned - a ton of designs have been churning out of the workshop, and they'll be debuting soon.

Sadly, the weather isn't cooperating, so I won't be spending much time outside today. What are you doing for Earth Day?

Through My Window

Take time today to enjoy the blooming trees out your windows.

Tuesday, April 13

Since I gave you a sneak peek at what was going on inside the workshop, how about we hear what's pumping out of the workshop's speakers...

It's all about old school lately. miTunes are taking me back. Back, like almost 15 to 20 years (holy!). As I work, I'm reminiscing about college house parties, high school crushes, friends I don't see often enough, and friends I've lost touch with.

I love the older stuff - LOVE it! Yes, I have newer stuff on rotation (hello?! new moon soundtrack. duh), but when I hear Alanis, or old Dave, or Counting Crows, I pretty much have to stop what I'm doing & sing along.

So, here are 10 (ok, 11) songs that have me realizing that me at 15, heck, even 18, was a LONG time ago.

Motorcycle Drive By - Third Eye Blind
Money Can't Buy It - Annie Lennox
Buffalo Stance - Neneh Cherry
February Stars - Foo Fighters
You Oughta Know - Alanis Morissette
Plowed - Sponge
'Round Here - Counting Crows
Crowing and  Windmills - Toad the Wet Sprocket
Typical Situation - Dave Matthews Band
Fast Car - Tracy Chapman
(and, no makin' fun - I have my songs, you have yours!)

What are you listening to? Any new music you think I should check out? Anything from when you were 15 or 18 played on your iPod lately that you want to talk about? Let's hear it!

On a Tear

I'm putting the finishing touches on one of the wedding invitation suites I'm working on right now, and I thought you'd like a sneak peek behind the scenes of the workshop.

You'll see the finished product once they're signed, sealed, delivered. But, for now...back to tearing.

On Wings of Hope Gala

A few months ago, I designed a logo/theme for the 'On Wings of Hope' Rock & Roll Gala event here in Seattle. It was held at Showbox SoDo, featured a performance by Everclear, and raised money to support the Hope Heart Institute.

In addition to the logo, I designed Save the Dates, lanyards for everyone to wear, and thank you notes. And, they used the logo all over the event. A cupcake wrapper was even designed by one of the event's sponsors, Bella Cupcake Couture. (Check out her other stuff - so cute!)

I'm getting excited for next year's event!
